Cleric urges governments to develop Nigeria’s tourism potentials

Prophet Samuel Olu-Alo

Governments, at all levels, have been urged to harness tourism potentials across Nigeria to boost the country’s economy. The Planter of the Christ Apostolic Church, (Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain) World-wide, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, who gave the advice, lamented that the nation’s tourism potentials were largely left untapped.

He, therefore, called on all tiers of government to develop the country’s culture, historical sites, prayer mountains, and other tourist destinations to create employment and generate more revenues.

Alo spoke in Jerusalem, Israel, where he led some pilgrims from Nigeria on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. He said: “We have resources that can make our country great and successful. Ikogosi Warm Springs, prayer mountains, and historical spots, are better than those in foreign countries many are travelling to, yet we don’t attach any importance to them.

“My advice to our leaders, the president, state governors, National Assembly members, and House of Assembly members is to use the privileges they have to develop our sites to attract tourists. He charged his co-pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Jesus and Nigeria wherever they find themselves with good works and character.

Meanwhile, Alo also travelled to United Kingdom (UK) from Israel to attend a programe organised to mark the third-year anniversary of the Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain and Glorious Generation Partners, United Kingdom and European Union Chapter.

As a result, he visited the Abuja House, the headquarters of the Federal Government of Nigeria in the United Kingdom, where he met Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Sarafat Tunji Isola.

Alo, who received a warm welcome from the envoy, used the opportunity to pray for Nigeria, while encouraging everyone to work towards peace and love of Nigeria and the present government.

He prayed that Nigeria would witness comfort, peace, and joy under President Bola Tinubu.
