Abba Kyari

The Concerned Nigerian Group (CNG), called on President Bola Tinubu to utilize the skills and expertise of the embattled and suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, to tackle the escalating insecurity issues plaguing the country.

In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Segun Rotimi, Deputy National Coordinator, Musa Shehu, and National Secretary, Nnamdi Sylvester, the CNG expressed deep concern over the recent attacks on a family in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The group emphasized the severity of the security situation in the country, urging President Tinubu to take immediate action. They warned that if swift action is not taken, his administration would go down as one of the worst in Nigeria’s history.

CNG condemned the increase in kidnappings happening right under the government’s nose, particularly in satellite towns in the FCT. They highlighted the Abuja/Kaduna expressway and the Birnin Gwari expressway to Zamfara as areas where kidnappers have taken control.

They also mentioned other states like Plateau, Zamfara, and Borno, where kidnappers are running rampant, the CNG reminded President Tinubu of the successful efforts led by Abba Kyari, during which he and his colleagues effectively battled criminals.

“He was also the only Person among all the Security agencies in the country that arrested the Boko Haram terrorist responsible for the famous 2014 chibok School Girls kidnapping in Borno.

“He arrested the first billionaire kidnapper in Nigeria Evans, Arrested the Ikorodu School children, Epe Children and Ogun Turkish school children kidnappers.

“Arrested biggest Kidnapping and terrorist Commanders like, Vampire, Halti, Yellow, Wadume, Ability, Onye Army, Dragon, Biggie, Urban Guarilla, Zakari Yau, Umar Abdulmalik, Abu Aisha, Abu kaka and thousands of other deadly Terrorist, Kidnappers, bandits that are Terrorising, Killing and kidnapping innocent Nigerians.

“The economy may be buoyant but if peace eludes the populace, you will be credited as presiding over the worst forms of insecurity in the country. Now is the time to dig deep, think and act. Kyari is the answer. He has always been the answer. With Kyari, these pervasive insecurity challenges would be a thing of the past.”

They mentioned that Kyari received the highest congressional award from the House of Representatives, headed by Femi Gbajabiamila, who is currently serving as Chief of Staff.

The group also alluded to Kyari’s recent ordeal with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), expressing disappointment in the agency’s collusion with drug barons.
