Ayo Sogunro

Ayo Sogunro is the author of The Wonderful Life of Senator Boniface and other Sorry Tales and, most recently, the collection of essays: Everything in Nigeria is Going to Kill You. He holds a masters degree in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa and has years of experience in human rights law and advocacy. His literary essay, ‘One more bound in freedom: Themes from the Nigerian “anti-gay” law’ was shortlisted for the 2016 Gerald Kraak Award for African Writing. He is currently undertaking doctoral research on sexual and reproductive rights at the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria. He tweets @ayosogunro
