Coppola steps into the hallowed conversations

In a bid to provide a safe space for life-based, wholesome conversations, where people can express themselves without fear of judgment, Sandra Adenike Thomas, popularly known as Nicki Coppola, has berthed a podcast called, The Hallowed Conversations.

Describing the podcast as life-based, wherein she talks on life experiences and philosophy, the Nigerian born in Sierra Leone, said guests would be invited to share their personal life experiences and testimonies. She said the podcast would impact people’s life positively as guidelines on how to live well would be shared often. “I’m not judging anyone, I’m not perfect, neither am I a saint. I have been a victim of drug abuse and I did so many things that should have taken my life. However, I found God and I am now in a better position and want to reach out to younger people who feel lost and need hope.”

She stressed it was not a religious podcast but a life-based one where people share what they have been through and hopefully, change the lives of listeners. Coppola, who said everyone is her target audience, added that some episodes would definitely spark controversies from revelations that would come to light.

The former video model and actress turned entrepreneur and podcaster, said she worked with a lot of popular artistes when she was still in the entertainment industry and experienced many things she didn’t want to remember. “I got exposed to so many vices including drugs and it affected me negatively, I thought I was going to die. I would be addressing some of those things in my podcast. For example, I would love to interview Banky W as I greatly admire his transformation from music to politics and being a pastor.”

The astute entrepreneur said her goal is to help young video vixens especially those still in the industry, as they tend not to know the consequences of some of the things they are being exposed to. “I want to have positive controversies on my podcast and bringing the word of God to bear. I am not running away from controversies, if they come, it is fine.”

On her plans on sustainability, Coppola said she plans to bring on controversial guests and source sponsorship and subscribers. “I decided on the name because hallowed means holy or consecrated. I will drop episodes weekly and already, five audio episodes are currently on Spotify. I am also working on visual episodes that would launch on Youtube by the second week of July.”

“Most podcasts these days are focused on sensationalism and controversial takes but I want to provide meaningful and life-changing conversations to both the young and old. I know there is a great need for such these days and I want to fill that gap. I am expecting to be judged, people are going to bring up my past but that is fine,” she said.
