Civil society groups have called on the Minister of Finance and the Accountant General of the Federation to prioritise funding for the armed forces and the entire security sector.
They also commended the swiftness with which security agencies acted in resolving security challenges in the nation.
They, however, called on the Accountant General,and minister of finance to ensure swift release of funding for the Nigerian military and paramilitary sectors, with emphasis on payment of backlog and future obligations.
According to them, swift compliance and consideration will safeguard the economy at large, via the security sector.
