Organisers of the second Cycling Lagos Championship slated for October 28, yesterday, launched a portal to officially flag off its online registration of participants for the Greener Ride edition of the event.
Speaking on the launch of the portal in Lagos, Chairman, Cycling Lagos 2023, Goddie Ofose said the event with the theme ‘Greener Ride,’ would attract thousands of cyclists and millions of followers, both online and offline.
Ofose said the online portal; https://www.cyclinglagos.com/register/ would open for free registration of intending participants between July 6 and October 14, 2023.
“To participate, you must have a bicycle and an helmet, while the organisers will make provision for the event jerseys,” Ofose said.
Also speaking on the event, Chief Executive Officer, BrandEscort Communications, organisers of the Cycling Lagos 2023, Bamidele Adeleye, urged interested participants to complete their registration early, as limited slots are available for the races.
“The children’s edition of the event will hold at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on October 21,” he said, adding, “The 2023 edition is opened to five categories of participants, including professionals, celebrities, children, corporate/veterans and amateurs.”
The organisers said the Greener Ride edition of Cycling Lagos is aimed at promoting a lifestyle that is environmentally friendly, adding that the event would end with a Corporate Dinner/Awards on October 28 at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.
