Bloodline captivity occurs when a demon capitalises on the mistakes of a person in a family to transfer an evil gene in the bloodline from generation to generation. Such mistakes open the doors for demonic operations. Just like in biology, the transfer of genes from parents to offspring brings about certain physical traits and resemblance in appearance and actions, so, also in the spirit realm. There can be transfer of evil genes that results in some negative patterns or evil re-occurrence in a family. It is a mystery that, if not unraveled, will continue from generation to generation until somebody puts a stop to it.
We shall consider a case study from the lineage of Judah as seen in our Bible text. There was a prophecy in Gen. 49:10 that the scepter shall not depart from Judah. Judah, however, had a weakness with women and he patronised prostitutes to the point that he slept with his daughter-in- law who disguised herself as one (Gen. 38:13-20). She became pregnant as a result of that interaction and had a set of twins. This is an abomination as the law then stated that a bastard will not enter into the house of the Lord till the tenth generation (Deut, 23:2). It, therefore, took ten generations before the kingship came to Judah through David (Matt. 1:2-6). By implication, we see that the mistakes of our fathers can delay the manifestations of certain blessings in our lives according to the laws. May God cancel every evil laws hindering the fulfilment of your destiny in Jesus’ name. Every good thing that escaped your parents will come to you speedily in Jesus’ name.
David, who was from the tenth generation, also had a problem with women. He killed his army general just to cover up his sin of adultery and went ahead to marry his wife, Bethsheba. David was so perverted that even when he was well stricken with age, he required a virgin to warm him up, but he was too weak to have any sexual relations with her until his death. Solomon, who took over the throne from his father, broke records with 700 wives and 300 concubines. If you don’t learn to deal with issues at their infancy they will become difficult to handle when fully matured. Understand that the serpent that showed up at Genesis became a dragon in the book of Revelation. Every case left unattended to in a particular generation grows bigger and worse in the next generation.
A pastor, sometime ago, was disgraced and he lost his ministry as a result of the effects of his polygamous family background. His grandfather and father could not take their eyes off women. This was an issue he, himself, failed to deal with before going into ministry. He had his struggles with women, but somehow prevailed until he met a woman in the church who intentionally set him up for disgrace. That marked the end of his ministry.

• Powers that want me to suffer what my parents suffered, you are a joker, die in Jesus’ name.
