Doguwa (APC), who won with 39,732 votes, defeated AVM Salisu Abdullahi (rtd) of New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), who polled 34, 798 ballots.

Abdulkadir Tijjani Jobe (NNPP) of Tofa/Rimin-Gado/Dawakin-Tofa constituency won with 52,456 votes to defeat Umar Abdullahi Umar of APC, who scored 44,809 votes.

Similarly, at Wudil/ Garko Federal Constituency, the Returning Officer, Prof. Mohammed Abba, declared NNPP candidate winner of the poll, defeating the APC candidate Ali Magaji, who scored 23,687 votes.

He said Sumaila polled 319,857 votes to defeat his rival, Gaya, who scored 192, 518 votes, while Murtala Bashir Galadanci of the PDP got 14,880 votes.

But the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, Barau Jibrin, outscored Dr. Baffa Bichi with 234,652 to 177 votes.
