Elegant Afro-fusion Chanteuse, Adaku Agwunobi, professionally known as Dr Adaku, has returned to the scene with her debut sound piece dubbed, The Vibes Are Known.
The 16-track album sees the London-based singer stretch her blooming discography with a collage of introspective lyricism, Afro-fusion and catchy groove.
From soul-soothing ballads such as Time to Igbo-flavoured bops like Egwu Ukwu, to the Fuji-inspired Come Jaiye, Dr Adaku shines as a profound cultural promoter, as well as an enchanting singer.
The 28-year-old singer who actually holds a Doctorate from Loughborough University London, the first Black PhD holder from that institution, shuttles between her experiences and observations about relationships and love, in this project.
Dr Adaku who debuted last year with a Lullaby-like ballad dubbed, Jisike, flows with a naturally passionate voice, brilliant lyricism and harmony in this project.
Aside from the tracklisting, which bombards several diverging moods towards the listener and slows the vibe down, the entire project is tastefully presented.
