Eagles Network International provides free food, healthcare services in Abia state

The Eagles Network International, a non profit organisation, has organised free medical and food outreach at Ofeme Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA, Abia State.

The outreach, held on December 23, 2023, witnessed massive turnout of beneficiaries, particularly widows and orphans who could barely afford healthcare services, food and other basic needs.


The organisation provided free food and healthcare services to not just community members but people from different locations ranging from successful cataract surgeries, dental surgeries, lab testing, Intra-articular injections, free medications, and specialist consultations.

Over 70 healthcare workers including ophthalmic surgeons, cardiologists, nephrologists, general surgeons, psychiatrists, internists, nurses and dedicated team members of the organisation were present to give out the services.

The President/Founder of Eagles Network International, Dr. Michael Igwe, said the free medicals and food outreach have over the years been an act of kindness and compassion to the people of Umuezike Ofeme and beyond.

Igwe reiterated his commitment to seeing that the vision of Eagles Network International is put out for the world to feel the true essence of love and compassion in reaching out the society.

“Eagles network international is a force to reckon with as it has attracted global recognition particularly with the support and partnership from the lead pastor of Streams of Joy international, Jerry Eze who was amazed at the magnitude of work and has pledged to be a part of this great vision,” he said.

Highlights of the events was the Widows Business Empowerment Scheme, which saw over 20 widows empowered with cash gifts, payment of school fees, financial assistance for advanced medical diagnosis, free eye glasses, free food items and more.
