Easter: IPAC felicitates with Christians, calls for prayers, unity, tolerance

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC, yesterday, felicitated with Christians across the country on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebrations, which signifies the resurrection of Jesus Christ after His crucifixion for the sins of mankind.

IPAC urged Nigerians to use this joyous occasion of the victory of life over death to rededicate their lives to God and imbibe Christ’s virtues of love, compassion, tolerance and sacrifice.

The National Publicity Secretary of IPAC, Chinyere Oge-Kalu, enjoins citizens to pray for the nation and its leaders, as they pilot the affairs of the country in this difficult time.

She said: “Partisan politics should give way for patriotism and nation-building to steer our wobbling economy in the path of recovery and sustainable growth, which will curb insecurity in the country.

“Council prayed that the joy, peace and hope of Easter will inspire and spur the governments at all levels to deliver democratic dividends to the suffering masses who have been asked by all administrations since Independence in 1960 to make sacrifices.”

“As the umbrella body of all registered political parties in Nigeria, IPAC is committed to the collective task of consolidating and advancing the nation’s democracy, ensuring a conducive environment for successful elections, political stability, enduring democracy and overall well-being of Nigerians.”
