Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, yesterday, directed the management of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, to retrieve all recent illegal disengagement letters issued to some staff members of the institution.

The directive is conveyed in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie, and made available to newsmen in Benin City.

According to the statement, the governor insists that sack notices, reportedly issued earlier to some staff members of the university, are illegal, null and void.

The governor also ordered investigation into what led to the issuance of the sack letters and said all found culpable would be brought to book.

The government also reiterated its commitment to the welfare of staff and is working to address all lingering issues affecting workers at the state-own institution.
