Edo guber: Osunbor, Agbomhere join race, upbeat on APC victory

Agbomhere

Ahead of the Edo State governorship election, the former governor of the state, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor, said that the state is up for grabs for the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).

APC’s South South Zonal Organising Secretary, Blessing Agbomhere, who spoke in the same vein, remarked that the people of Edo are ready to embrace the renewed hope agenda of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration.

The duo spoke to reporters separately after obtaining their N50 million worth Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja.

Osunbor, accompanied by scores of supporters, pledged to reposition the state if he is elected. He called on the Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje-led National Working Committee (NWC) to conduct a proper primary devoid of undue influence and manipulations.

Said he: “For many of us, the coming election is a must win for Edo APC. No impediment, no matter how contrived and from whatever source can stop our party from reclaiming Edo in 2024. The mistakes, which made APC lose the state to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2020 must not be allowed to afflict us a second time.”

Agbomhere, who was ushered into the national secretariat of the party by hundreds of his supporters, said that he remains the most qualified of the aspirants, noting that he is well equipped to reset Edo for sustainable growth and development.
