Edo Poly matriculates 1,850, charges students on good conduct

The Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, has matriculated 1,850 students into its National Diploma and Higher National Diploma programmes for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Acting Rector of the Polytechnic, Omoruyi Sylvester, who acknowledged the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki’s consistent support in ensuring that all programmes in the school gain full accreditation, said the institution has recorded progress in the last one year.

He charged students to be of good conduct and project image of the school positively.

He said: “Obaseki’s concern about the progress of the polytechnic, especially in the aspect of accreditation, led to the accreditation of six programmes during the recent National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) quality assurance and resource visitation to the polytechnic in January.”

The rector urged students to prove their worth by working hard and embrace the various learning opportunities and technological innovations available to get the best of their chosen programmes.

The Commissioner of Education, Dr. Joan Oviawe, restated the government’s commitment to reposition the institution.
