AAUA alumni elect new executives

Old students of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, have assured their readiness to advance the legacy of the institution through active alumni engagement, community service, and support for the ivory tower.

They made the pledge during the Lagos chapter’s election to choose a new set of executives that will steer the ship of the association for the next tenure.

The election, conducted under the supervision of the chapter’s electoral committee, chaired by Dike Henry, was adjudged free, fair and transparent, in line with the association’s constitution.

At the end of the exercise, the following members emerged as newly elected executives, A.R.T Omuvwie as Chairman; Adesua Ogidi, Vice Chairman; Andrew Enegbeta as Secretary; Ehizuelen Ehis as Assistant Secretary; Michael Akharamen as Financial Secretary; Donnelly Simire as Assistant Financial Secretary; Rufus Alele as Public Relations Officer; Margaret Igboa, Assistant Public Relations Officer, and Blessing Karimu as
Treasurer.

Others are Ikpea Lilian – Welfare Officer; Belnardine Oyiboka, Assistant Welfare Officer; Isaac Akoyere, Legal Adviser; Dike Harry, Editor-in-Chief, Samuel Okotete, and ex-officio members, Sebaston Nwokoro and Felicia Bakare.

In his acceptance speech, Omuvwie expressed gratitude for the trust reposed in him and promised to lead with openness, commitment, and a renewed spirit of service.
