On Saturday, October 18, 2025, the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur in Lagos opened its doors to hundreds of enthusiastic students for the Choose France fair, a flagship event jointly organised by Campus France Nigeria and the Embassy of France in Nigeria. The fair served as a dynamic platform to promote higher education in France and to strengthen academic ties between the two countries.
This year’s edition gathered 500 participants and representatives from 24 leading French universities and institutions, including business schools, engineering schools, public universities, and, for the first time, three renowned art schools.
Students from Lagos State University, Covenant University, and Yaba College of Technology joined the event alongside students from the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur, creating a vibrant and diverse academic community for a day of discovery and exchange.
More than just a fair, Choose France acts as a bridge between French institutions and aspiring Nigerian students. It provides practical guidance on admission procedures, scholarships, and visa applications while offering students the chance to interact directly with university representatives.
Throughout the day, delegates engaged with students one-on-one, presenting programs across disciplines such as science, engineering, management, social sciences, and the arts. The exchanges were lively and inspiring, with students eager to learn about academic life in France, tuition fees, language requirements, and career opportunities after graduation.
The atmosphere at the Lycée Français was both professional and welcoming. Students moved from stand to stand, collecting brochures, asking questions, and sharing their academic aspirations. Campus France Nigeria also provided information about the Études En France (EEF) platform, now open for applications until December 1, allowing students to apply for up to seven master’s programs with a single online application.
Delegates praised the high level of curiosity and motivation among Nigerian students, while participants expressed gratitude for the rare opportunity to interact directly with French universities.
France remains one of the world’s top destinations for higher education, offering high-quality programs across diverse fields—from science and technology to arts and business; Access to innovation-driven research and globally recognized degrees; and a multicultural and inclusive environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.
For Nigerian students, studying in France represents more than academic advancement; it is a path toward global exposure, personal growth and international career prospects.
The Choose France fair at the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur marked the final event of the 2025 Choose France Nigeria program, following a series of successful engagements across Nigerian universities. It highlighted the growing interest of Nigerian youth in French education and reinforced the strong partnership between both countries, built on shared values of knowledge, innovation, and cultural exchange.
Campus France Nigeria expressed its gratitude to the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur, a school of excellence, for hosting the event and contributing to its success.
