Rankins Oguara, a Civil/Structural Engineer and Construction Project Manager with over a decade of experience in real estate development, engineering is more than a profession—it is a platform for building people, shaping communities, and driving sustainable development.

With professional interests that span Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management, Education Advocacy, SDGs Promotion, and Purposeful Leadership, Oguara has consistently demonstrated how technical expertise can merge with social impact. Beyond delivering projects, he has committed himself to raising a new generation of leaders through his work as a Youth Development Strategist. Today, he leads a vibrant network of over 5,000 members, inspiring innovation, leadership, and community transformation across Nigeria and beyond.

Currently, Oguara serves as the Assistant Technical Secretary of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Lagos Branch, where he is responsible for coordinating technical activities, fostering knowledge-sharing, and advancing professional excellence within the engineering community.

Earlier this year, Oguara advanced this vision when he engaged with Engr. Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, FNSE, the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos State and Chairman of the NSE Lagos Branch. The courtesy visit, held in July, was centered on collaborative strategies for capacity building and youth empowerment initiatives within the engineering profession.

For Oguara, such engagements are not isolated efforts but part of a broader agenda to ensure that young professionals are empowered with the right skills, mentorship, and opportunities to excel. “Our vision is to nurture purposeful leaders who are technically competent, globally competitive, and socially responsible,” he notes.

As he continues to push boundaries in construction project management and youth advocacy, Oguara is carving out a reputation as a professional whose influence extends beyond the building site; towards building people and shaping the future.
