Sproutly launches financing schemes to empower teachers, parents

Sproutly Tech Limited, a Nigerian education technology firm, has introduced two new financing programmes aimed at easing access to digital tools and education funding for teachers and families across the country.

The announcement was made at SproutFest 2025, the company’s annual teachers’ seminar held in Lagos, which brought together educators, private school proprietors, financial institutions and technology innovators under the theme, “Bridging the Gap: Integrating Professionalism, Technology and Welfare Systems for 21st Century Teaching Excellence.”

The initiatives unveiled include the Teachers’ Laptop Financing Programme, which seeks to provide one million Nigerian teachers with affordable laptops by 2028, and the Tuition Credit Programme, created in partnership with the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation and Ecobank Nigeria. The tuition scheme is designed to help parents spread the cost of school fees more conveniently and affordably.

According to Sproutly, both programmes are accessible through its online platform.
Sproutly’s Chief Executive Officer, Pierre Nwoke, said the initiative forms part of the company’s broader vision to strengthen Nigeria’s education ecosystem by blending innovation with financial inclusion. He noted that a significant portion of the nation’s 1.9 million teachers still lack access to essential digital tools, a gap the company hopes to close through its new financing solutions.

The one-day conference also featured panel discussions on education financing, teacher welfare, technology integration, and sustainable school management. Among the participants were representatives from Zoho, Oak Pensions, Providus Bank, Co-Creation Hub, and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

Corporate partners, including Ecobank, Providus Bank, Zoho and Co-Creation Hub, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting schools and educators with tailored financial products and technology-driven initiatives.

In recognition of dedication to the profession, the event concluded with awards for long-serving teachers who have demonstrated resilience, innovation and lasting impact in the classroom.
