The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has said its officer behind the trending video showing the former Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, in the custody of the Commission is already undergoing disciplinary action.
The anti-graft agency said the video is completely at variance with the established Standard Operating Procedure of the EFCC.
Recall that reactions had trailed the video of Obiano in the custody of the EFCC which appeared online on Sunday afternoon.
For instance, while describing the video as an embarrassment, the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council decried the “inhumane treatment” to Obiano and queried how the video leaked to the social media
Spokesperson of EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement on Monday, said a discreet investigation ordered upon discovery of the leak had revealed the “errant officer behind the odious act and he is currently being subjected to appropriate disciplinary action.”
