Eid-el-Fitri: IPAC felicitates Muslims, calls for unity, tolerance


The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), on Monday, felicitates Muslims across the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebrations signifying the end of Ramadan fasting, one of the major tenets of Islam.


IPAC urges Moslems, indeed, Nigerians to imbibe the lessons of Ramadan – piety, love, peace, sacrifice, tolerance, charity and fairness to all.

The National Chairman of IPAC, Alh Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, in a statement, said: “These values will stir up patriotism in citizens in our collective efforts in building a strong, virile, stable, prosperous, egalitarian and decent democratic nation.

“It is time to provide fruits of democracy to the masses and boost their standards of living. It is time to make the nation safe again. It is time to revive the economy and create jobs for millions of our youth to maximise their potential as future leaders.


“It is time to fight corruption and rebuild trust in government. It is time for compassionate, visionary, purposeful, resourceful and God-fearing leadership. It is time to make Nigeria great again.”

As the umbrella body of all registered political parties in Nigeria, IPAC said it is strongly determined in deepening democracy in the country urges Nigerians to set aside all differences in the quest for a better society.
