Ekiti Assembly confirms commissioner-nominees

Makinde appoints SAs, internal revenue board chair, others
Ekiti State House of Assembly, yesterday, confirmed all the 21 commissioner-nominees sent to the House by Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

The Assembly also gave approval to the governor to appoint 10 special advisers to facilitate governance and efficient service delivery.

SIMILARLY, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, yesterday, approved re-appointment of retired Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni and former Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Oyo State chapter, Bayo Titilola-Sodo, as Special Advisers on Security and Labour Matters, respectively.
 


The governor also re-appointed a retired Assistant Comptroller of Immigration, Segun Adegoke, as Special Adviser on Homeland Security.
 
Makinde, in a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, equally approved the appointment of Bayo Lawal as Senior Executive Assistant on General Duties.
 
Other appointments include Olatilewa Folami as Director-General, Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership (OYSIPA); among others.

Elias Adeojo (Chairman, Water Corporation of Oyo State); Olufemi Awakan (Chairman, Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue) and Debo Akande (Executive Adviser, Agribusiness, International Cooperation and Development & Director-General, Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).

The governor charged the new appointees to see their appointments as a call to service and to discharge their duties with dedication and absolute loyalty to the state.

The appointments, according to the letter, are with immediate effect.
