Ekweremadu applauds Ugwuanyi for good leadership, governance

FormerDeputy President of the Senate and representative of Enugu West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Ike Ekweremadu, has commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for providing good governance in the state.

Ekweremadu also applauded Ugwuanyi for the leadership he provides in Enugu State and for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South East geo-political zone, describing him as “a visionary leader.”

He gave the commendation when he accompanied Ugwuanyi to Ezeagu Council for the PDP campaign ahead of the February 23, 2022 local government election in the state.


The rally, which witnessed a large turnout of party faithful and supporters, was also attended by the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Cecilia Ezeilo, state Chairman of PDP, Augustine Nnamani, representative of Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency, Hon. Dennis Amadi, his Aninri/Awgu/Oji River counterpart, Hon. Toby Okechukwu, Senator Ben Collins Ndu and representative of Ezeagu Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Chima Obieze, among others. 

Ekweremadu expressed delight at Ugwuanyi’s achievements in office in spite the nation’s economic meltdown, stressing that it is an indication that the governor is prepared for the job.

Speaking, Amadi, who said they accompanied Ugwuanyi to the campaign to show him their solidarity, lauded the governor for his consistency in conducting council elections in Enugu State and for restoring peace and security in the state.

On his part, Obieze maintained that the council elections would be a huge success, adding: “The governor has moved round and has watered the ground for a smooth victory for the PDP.”
