Elsa Majimbo Reveals Her Fallout with Naomi Campbell in a Video

Elsa Majimbo, a Kenyan model and influencer, has shocked her fans by exposing her strained relationship with Naomi Campbell, a British supermodel and actress, in a video that has gone viral on social media.

Majimbo, who rose to fame with her humorous videos and monologues, met Campbell in 2020 when the latter visited Kenya for a holiday.

They became friends and even went on a vacation together, where they discussed making a documentary about Majimbo’s life and career, with Campbell as the financier and advisor.

However, things turned sour when Majimbo premiered a documentary about herself without informing Campbell, who felt betrayed and threatened to sue her for breach of contract.

In the video, which Majimbo later deleted from her TikTok account, she said:

“She called me and she was like, ‘Elsa, I’m going to sue you. You did a documentary without my consent. You know we had a deal. You know we had a contract.’ And I was like, ‘Naomi, what are you talking about? I don’t know what you’re talking about.’”

Majimbo also claimed that Campbell told her friends that she made her famous, something that she did not agree with.

“I’m not going to speak on that but I will say that Naomi did give me a lot of credibility especially when I first came to Hollywood. She made me feel special she did a lot of things for me so I wouldn’t say she made me but she did play a big role in a lot of the things.”

Majimbo also stated that the fallout with Campbell affected her emotionally and pushed her into alcoholism and depression.

“It was hard. It was really hard. I started drinking a lot. I was depressed. I was sad. I felt like I had lost a friend. I felt like I had lost everything.” she said.

She added that she tried to reach out to Campbell several times, but she did not respond or pick up her calls. She said that even their mutual friends could not help them reconcile.

“I texted her. I called her. I emailed her. Nothing. She just ghosted me. She just cut me off. And I was like, ‘Why? What did I do wrong?’ And even our friends, they were like, ‘We don’t know what’s going on. We don’t know what to do.’”

Majimbo said that she has since moved on from the incident and is focusing on her happiness. She said that she and Campbell are neither friends nor enemies, but nothing.

“We’re not friends we’re not enemies were not anything. We’re just two people who met and had a good time and then had a bad time and then that’s it. That’s life. You meet people. You lose people. You move on.”

Campbell has not responded to the allegations made by Majimbo, who has also deleted the tweets she made on the matter. She said that deleting the tweets does not mean that she was lying, but that she was seeking peace. She said:

“I stand by my words. Content in my decision. The tweets are deleted due to seeking peace, not fear. Y’all need to understand this is something that has happened since I was 19. My goal now is happiness.”

Naomi Campbell has a history of being involved in controversies and scandals, such as assaulting her employees, throwing phones at people, and being accused of receiving blood diamonds from former Liberian president Charles Taylor.
