‘Every child deserves opportunity to learn, grow, reach full potential’

Committed to education and well-being of Nigerian children, Cakasa Ebenezer Foundation (CEF) has said that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

The foundation, which has been at the forefront of promoting educational empowerment and community development, said this at an event organised in commemoration of the 2024 Children’s Day recently.

The three-day event which took place at News City Primary School, Mushin, Lagos was attended by diverse primary school pupils in the community, parents and teachers. The pupils were treated to fun games, entertainment and gifts.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Director, CEF, Mrs. Helen Egbe, said, “Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world, and by investing in these children, we are investing in a brighter, more prosperous future for all. If empowered and nurtured with proper education, children have the potential to be great and achieve their highest dreams. This is why CEF is proud to be part of this celebration, not only to provide entertainment but to share gifts that we hope will bring smiles to your faces and joy to your hearts.”

Egbe also admonished the children to work hard, dream big and never give up on their dreams. “Whether you dream of becoming a doctor, an engineer, a teacher, a social worker, or an artist, believe in yourself, work hard, and never give up on your dreams.”

She however implored Nigerians and everyone present at the event to make a pledge to support, protect, and empower every child, urging them to work together to ensure that children have access to quality education, healthcare, and the freedom to dream big.

Education Secretary, Mushin Local Government Education Authority, Princess Olufemi Akinlude also encouraged the students to do everything possible to focus on their studies holistically.

While expressing gratitude to CEF, for their commitment to the educational pursuit of children within the Mushin Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Akinlude noted that the students have been exposed to the benevolence of many NGOs and should not take it for granted.
