The live premiere of Family Feud Season 2 was held at Ultima Studios in Lagos in preparation for it to hit the screen last weekend. The game show, a globally acclaimed family-oriented on premiered at the studio with a distinguished audience of media executives and select guests in attendance.

The focal point of the screening party revolved around the Face-Off, Main Game, and Fast Money rounds of the game show, featuring the Mbagwu and Adewale families.

The ambience was elevated by the accompaniment of lively music, exquisite finger food, and refreshing beverages, creating an engaging setting for guests to relish pivotal moments from the second season.

Noteworthy was the screening of the first episode, showcasing a fierce clash between the Adebayo and Olori families, culminating in an unprecedented victory for the Adebayos.

The General Manager, Operations, Ultima Studios, Tunji Adebaki, speaking on Season 2 of the show, said: “What we are doing differently in Family Feud Season 2 is that viewers from home would actively participate in the show as they watch with more audience winning through answering questions.

“It is a trivia game too but what we did in season one was that only 10 people won from Monday to Friday. We have increased that with the help of Momo, MTN and our other sponsors.

“We have upped it to 30 people, so we want to touch the lives of 30 Nigerians everyday. Thirty people will win N5,000 everyday from Monday to Friday. What we also did not do last season is that we have added a N1 million to the trivia. So, at the end of every quarter, the fan with the highest number of points gets N1m.”

The Chief Digital Officer of MTN Nigeria, Aisha Umar, spoke on the telecom firm’s unwavering commitment to the success of the show in its second season, because it aligns with their core values of promoting family, community, and societal unity.

She said: “Beyond fun and entertainment, it is about education. Nigeria is a very aspirational society, and Family Feud allows people to do that. To be part of this show, you have to educate yourself on certain things, and we like being part of that.”

Show host, Bisola Aiyeola, expressed appreciation for the rare opportunity to return, acknowledging the distinctive experience of collaborating with families and friends as well as the collective efforts in bringing the verve that defines the show.
