The Osu-Apena royal family of Odi-Olowo, Ojuwoye Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) has kicked against the installation of Mr.Sikiru Williams as the community king, urging Governor BabajideSanwo-olu to intervene in the matter.

The family alleged that their signatures were forged and presented at the ministry oflocal government and chieftaincy affairs where he was given an official installation.

They, therefore, appealed to Sanwo-Olu to intervene and reverse what they described as a fraudulent decision probably done in error.

Speaking, the Olori-ebi and BalogunOdi-Olowo lamented that the installation was without recourse to the laid down rules and regulations governing selection of a candidate to occupy the traditional stool as provided by the official gazette.

Also, the secretary of the royal family, Abdul-GaffarRaheem-Apena, stated that though Williams is a relation of the family through maternal side, he was never the choice of the family.
He maintained that there was never a time the family sat or held a meeting to anoint him as a candidate for the throne.

The solicitor of the family, Yakubu Eleto Chambers, in a letter to the Lagos State government, corroborated that the documents submitted to the office of chieftaincy affairs were forged particularly, the signatures of members of the family.

He urged the government to commence discreet forensic investigations into the documents submitted.
When The Guardian contacted Williams on phone, he answered the call but after introductions, he declined the call.
