Fast rising star Zeed SNG reflects on career journey, redefining Afrobeat sound

Azeez Damilare Balogun, known in the music scene as Zeed SNG, has been making waves with his unique blend of African rhythms and contemporary pop sounds. Born on April 16th, 1997, in Lagos, Nigeria, Zeed grew up in Ejigbo before venturing into the music industry professionally.


Discovering his passion for music during adolescence, Zeed began freestyling to beats and recording demos. In 2019, he officially launched his music career with his debut single, followed by an impressive discography of singles showcased on his Audiomack artist profile.

With roots in Ejigbo, Lagos State, and hailing from Ijaye, Ogun State, Zeed’s upbringing has influenced his sound, blending African rhythms with catchy lyrics and an energetic stage presence. His stage name, “Zeed SNG,” is derived from his real name, Azeez Damilare, combined with “SNG” representing his singing prowess.
