CFA’s women in investment management scholarship closes Monday

The CFA Society Nigeria has announced that applications for its 2025/2026 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Women in Investment Management (WIM) Scholarship will close on Monday, August 18, 2025.

The scholarship, which offers partial funding to cover 75% of exam fees for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I, II, or III exams, is aimed at supporting Nigerian women in advancing their careers in investment management.

According to the Society, the initiative targets women who may be unable to afford the examination fees, with the goal of promoting gender diversity within the finance and investment sector.

Eligibility requirements stipulate that applicants must be Nigerian women with at least a First Class or Second-Class Upper degree. Those who are unemployed or under-employed may apply for one examination sitting, while employed candidates must earn no more than ₦300,000 net monthly.

Unemployed applicants are required to provide two character references—one from a CFA charterholder—while candidates progressing to higher CFA levels must have achieved scores above 70% in all modules of the preceding exam level.

The upcoming exam schedule includes:

Level I: May 2026
Level II: May 2026
Level III: August 2026

The CFA Society Nigeria emphasised that the scholarship is part of its commitment to empowering women in finance through education and professional development.

Applications are currently being accepted online and must be submitted before the August 18 deadline.
