Humanity first marks three decades with non-discriminatory aid

A Collective show of service, fitness, and solidarity took over parts of Lagos recently, when Humanity First Nigeria (HF) organised its Walk-Run-Bike (WRB) grand finale.

The event served as the local capstone for the 30th-anniversary celebrations of Humanity First International, a global aid organisation now active in over 62 countries.

The Chairman, Ahmadiyya Cycling Association of Nigeria (ACAN), Kamaldeen Bello, highlighted the group’s success in promoting cycling, noting that Nigeria has seen strong results in recent performances of continental cycling championships.

Bello, who detailed how ACAN integrates fitness with social welfare, cited a clothes bank where members distributed fairly used, clean clothing in communities for less fortunate youths. He explained that ACAN served as a visible tool for promoting both physical well-being and community interaction.

Secretary, HF Nigeria, Alhaji Dauda Raji, stated the event was designed to foster unity, fitness and service to humanity. While the Amir (Head) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Nigeria, Alatoye AbdulAzeez, underscored Humanity First’s commitment to non-discriminatory aid. “The thrust of Humanity First is to provide service to the less privileged, the assistance is extended equally to all people, regardless of their faith or background.
