Haitian influencer and LGBTQ advocate, popularly known as Uncle Kendji, has released a powerful new single titled ‘FEL POU AYITI”, meaning “Do It for Haiti’, addressing the injustice, civil war, and economic challenges facing the country.
The song, which debuted on YouTube two weeks ago, follows his high-profile support of Chef Leenchée “Leen” Excellent in her attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking marathon.
With over 496,000 followers on TikTok, @unclekendjistar, uses his influential platform not only to amplify Leen’s culinary dream but also to promote a message of inclusion, equality, and national reflection.
‘FEL POU AYITI’ serves as both a tribute and a call to action, urging Haitians to come together for justice and progress.
With “Do It for Haiti,” Uncle Kendji adds a musical layer to his mission, amplifying the voice of a generation demanding justice, dignity, and unity for all Haitians.
However,in a country where homosexuality is still heavily stigmatised, Uncle Kendji has emerged as a symbol of pride and progress.
Since mid-April 2025, his name has resonated throughout Haiti after he became the first public figure to support Leen’s mission to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking marathon.
Trained in child psychology and currently studying international real estate, Uncle Kendji showed his commitment during a TikTok live session in March 2025 by donating $500 to Leen and vowing to do everything he could to ensure her success.
From April 7 to 16, 2025, he and a team of fellow TikTokers: Tatie Mendel, Winchristoo, Buske, and Trapalman, stood by Leen’s side as she cooked continuously for more than 215 hours.
If validated by Guinness, the feat would make Leen the record holder for the longest solo cooking marathon in history.
Uncle Kendji’s unwavering support not only energised Leen but also unified a nation around perseverance and representation.
