After a successful Annual General Meeting AGM, Samuel Ayetutu, has emerged Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
The election successfully concluded the institute’s flagship yearly event, the Lagos PR Fest, themed, “Urban Farming for Food Security: The Role of Communication.”
Held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos, communication professionals, policymakers and stakeholders discussed role of effective communication in driving innovative strategies for addressing food security.
Supervised by the Institute’s Registrar, Uzoma Onyegbadua, the elections produced other executive members such as, Vice-Chairman: Eniola Mayowa; Secretary, Samuel Adeyemi; Assistant Secretary, Rita Ali-Nock; Public Relations Officer, Ogochukwu Okeke; Financial Secretary, Bassey Nta; Treasurer Olabamiji Adeleye and Welfare Officer, Funmilola Akintola. The ex-Officio Provost Marshal is Quadri Adeleke
In his acceptance speech, Ayetutu pledged to promote professionalism, inclusiveness and innovation, while fostering collaboration among members to elevate the chapter’s impact.
To him, “when I talk about uniting the chapter, I am referring to bringing together the various sections within Lagos NIPR to work collectively for its progress. We also want to ensure that, by the end of our two-year tenure, Lagos NIPR will have become a household name.”
