Nigeria’s icons, Ayobami Akindipe, Omah Lay awarded Forbes 30 Under 30

In Nigeria’s real estate sector often marred by housing deficits and substandard developments, Ayobami Akindipe stands out as a transformative figure. At just 13, he began his journey as a bricklayer, and by 21, he was a real estate agent. In 2019, he founded Ace Real Estate Development LTD, which has since evolved from land sales to constructing luxury homes.

He has also been honoured as a Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 laureate in the Business category. This prestigious recognition marks a significant milestone in the Nigerian real estate sector, as Akindipe becomes the first industry leader since Adetola Nola’s 2019 inclusion to receive this accolade.

Beyond property development, Akindipe’s most significant contribution may be in education. In 2022, he launched Ace Academy, a free training initiative aimed at equipping Nigerian youths with skills in real estate sales, financial literacy, and technology. Within two years, the academy has trained approximately 20,000 individuals, providing them with certificates and practical skills to navigate the real estate industry.

Akindipe’s efforts have not gone unnoticed. In 2023, he was recognized by City People Magazine as one of its “7 Real Estate Players of 2023” . His approach combines business acumen with a commitment to social impact, setting a new standard for real estate development in Nigeria.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with housing challenges, Akindipe’s model integrating quality development with youth empowerment offers a blueprint for sustainable growth in the sector.
