Acting Managing Director, Dr Ini Usoro, who revealed this when a delegation from JICA led by Mr Yasuhiro Yamauchi paid a visit to the agency headquarters in Abuja, appreciated the interest shown in the Nigerian space and other areas.

According to Usoro, they are willing to work with the team from data collection to translation of collected data into usable information for decision making in the nation’s road transport, land and logistics sectors.

Earlier, Yamauchi said JICA survey project is meant to collate information and make recommendations to improve transportation infrastructure, strengthen policies, and improve service levels by operators mainly in port, and water transport.

He observed that the agency, being a major stakeholder in the road transport sector will support their survey with information that are core issues in transport, road network map and the summary table of the road length and provide maps showing road conditions and its summary table.
