FG donates drugs to Hajj Commission

Dr Muyi Aina, Executive Director, NPHCDA

Federal Government has donated essential drugs to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria to serve as a vital resource for Nigerian pilgrims, offering them timely and essential medical assistance during this year’s pilgrimage.

Executive Director, National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr Muyi Aina, who handed over the drugs to the commission’s Chairman, Jalal Ahmad Arabi, yesterday, in Abuja, stated that the agency, through its mandate, had deployed the regular supply of travellers’ vaccines to all the states and the FCT.

He said: “As our fellow citizens undertake this physically demanding pilgrimage, it is our duty to ensure their safety and provide them with necessary care and support. The Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare and National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) is deeply committed to this cause, through the collaborative efforts of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).”

Receiving the items, Arabi said the commission would use the medical supplies judiciously for the benefit of the pilgrims.
