Fidelity Bank reassures commitment to customers, redeems prizes

Besides, the financial institution affirmed its readiness to sustain the reward scheme, even if it becomes the only allure customers to key into the government’s financial inclusion drive.

The Executive Director, Shared Services, Fidelity Bank, Chijioke Ugochukwu, gave the assurance in Lagos, during the presentation of prizes to winners of the ongoing Save4Shelter promo of the bank.

According to her, the response by customers has been remarkable so far, which also testifies to the reality and transparent processes of the initiative.

She noted that though the scheme would attract customers and send a strong message that is capable of changing behaviours, it was more about incentivising them to do what is right and mutually beneficial.

All across the country, the response has been tremendous. Customers are deactivating dormant accounts and new ones are being opened, awareness is being created, strong messages going across through the media, our staff and branches and the through the draws that are done in the public domain.
“As we speak, in six other (geographical) areas of our operations, the same presentations are going on for the first set of 21 winners that emerged in various categories of the promo,” she said.

Meanwhile, at the bank’s head office, Omowunmi Iyiola Abraham, Ifeanyi Ben Ani and two other persons were presented N2 million, N500,000, generating set and refrigerator respectively.

The Head, Consumer Protection Council, Lagos, Joshua Nggada, who was present during the presentation, said there was no doubt that the process was transparent, adding that “today, Fidelity Bank has made good its promise.”

Few days ago, the electronic selection process had emerged 21 customers of the bank as winners of various prizes, including Emmanuel Lilian Adaku from Ota branch, Grace Kadiru from Zaria, Obinna Stanley Agbah from Port-Harcourt, Aneke Chinelo Loretha, Ogunba Amanda Jessica and Adekoya Afeez Adewale in the consolation category.

Others were Ife Oluwa, Chiazana Keneth Jessica from Kaduna, Christian Lebaton from River State University of Science and Technology, Oyeagbo Peter Chukwuemeka, Hannah Effiong and Ogechukwu Williams.
In the N500, 000 categories were Isienyi Noel Chidebere from Iworo Ibadan branch; Herinata Ejiro Joyce from University of Maiduguri; among others.

Amorighoye Neville from Airport Road, Warri branch; Okunsebor Blessing from Enugu; Florence Chinyere Okoye; and Ifeanyi Ben Ani.

The highpoint of the draw was the emergence of two prize winner of N1 million each- John Tomipre Attah from Port-Harcourt and a joint account holder- Idoko Alphosus Nwankwo and Chinelu, while the star prize winner of N2 million was Omowunmi Iyiola Abraham from Ikorodu.
