Twenty-three persons died and property worth N29 million were destroyed by fire at different locations across the state last month, according to Kano State Fire Service.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Service, Saminu Yusuf, stated, yesterday, in Kano, that the service, however, saved 64 lives and property worth N73.195 million.
He said: “The fire service received an emergency call from our 27 fire stations across the state in April. We received 83 fire calls, 45 rescue calls and 39 false alarms.
“We seize this opportunity to advise the general public to handle fire with care to avoid disasters.”
