A SUSTAINABLE food company, GuDee, has called on stakeholders in the food value chain sector to take issues of responsible sourcing of raw ingredients to ensure food safety and security seriously.
The company, in a statement, yesterday, explained that responsible sourcing is crucial for every food business, saying it helps to ensure quality of food and ingredients, promotes transparency, reduces risks and drives innovation in the supply chain, as well as benefits farmers and communities.
Managing Director of the company, Chibuikem Osuchukwu, said such policy has given the company an edge, stressing that the firm took special interest in sourcing, re-branding and use of sustainable packaging for food products like Egusi, Ogbono, Palm Oil, among others.
