CYBERSYNCHS, a universal data synchronization company, which recently entered the Nigerian telecommunications space, is ready to offer data back-up facilities for mobile phone users in the country.

Nigeria currently has about 146 million active mobile subscriptions; 86 million of the country’s populations are now on the Internet on narrow band, through their mobile phones.

The firm, which planned to leverage on the robustness of the country’s telecommunications sector, said the solution would provide much needed storage and protection of user data in case of loss, theft or malfunction of a mobile phone.

The Chief Executive Officer of CyberSynchs, Amos Winbush, said the service, which works with any phone and 98 per cent of operating systems, allows users to synch their most common types of data—contacts, photos, videos, calender entries, text messages, GPS location and more to the web over the air.

Winbush, who spoke through Skype from his base in United States of America, said storage plans are available in increments of 3GB, 5GB and 10GB and can be billed monthly, bimonthly, biannually or yearly.

He said the technology firm will roll out a national ‘ARE You Synched’ marketing campaign to support the product launch with visibility across both social and traditional media.
