Firm reinforces commitment to quality, combat counterfeit

A leading personal care brand focused on bringing everyday wellness to consumers through bath and other skincare products, Dr Teal’s has reiterated its commitment to quality as it continues to push back counterfeiting in the Nigerian market.

This assertion was made at a press briefing in Lagos to announce the relaunch of Dr Teal’s brand in Nigeria and the organisation’s efforts at battling counterfeiting in the market.

Having struggled with the devastating effect of counterfeiting, the brand in partnership with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the Nigerian Police collaborated to combat counterfeiting menace that plagues the country.

To affirm the Nigerian consumers of its commitment to the country, and ensure continuous consumer satisfaction, Dr Teal’s has also gone ahead to introduce two new products to the market.

Speaking the International Director, PDC Brands, David Schneider said that the brand’s relaunch in Nigeria is a move of reassurance to its audience, and a strong statement on its part to protect consumers’ interest following the wave of counterfeiting in the personal care brand industry.

Schneider added: “Dr Teal’s is committed to fighting counterfeit in the market and as such we are working closely with regulatory councils in Nigeria and I praise the efforts of NAFDAC and the police to implement strong actions.”

Also Dr Teal’s Strategic Manager, Mrs. Vivienne Odofin-Daniel said: “We have always believed wellness should play a part in everybody’s every day. We have dedicated ourselves to bringing out the best in everybody naturally.

“This is why it drives everything we do. Dr Teal’s delivers ground breaking formulations inspired by the power of nature to recharge the mind, body and spirit – bringing out the best in everybody naturally.”

The Managing Director, Perfect Trust Cosmetics, Dr Teal’s major distributor in Nigeria, Mr. Chinedu Okoye said: “Dr Teal’s has been actively combating counterfeiting to restore faith in the Nigerian consumer’s health safety. The brand has continued to champion skincare product authenticity and product quality and it is ever ready to lead the fight against the menace of fake in this market.”

Okoye cautioned consumers to desist from patronising tablet soaps and baby lotion products with Dr Teal’s brand name because Dr Teal’s does not produce skincare products in tablet soap and does not have products for babies.”
