Respected for his grasps of political under currents, the late Akpo, as he was fondly called, was very passionate, concise, informative, and prolific in political reportage, analysis and features.
To some of his colleagues, he bestrode the political reportage like a Colossus and this gave The Guardian Newspaper a distinction in political commentary as an elite tabloid.
