Ganduje woos Kwankwaso, Abba, Shekarau on return to APC

Ganduje

National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has pleaded with his erstwhile political godfather and presidential candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 poll, Rabiu Kwankwaso, to return to the ruling party.

He extended a similar offer to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and former representative of Kano Central Senatorial District, Ibrahim Shekarau. Ganduje, who made the appeal yesterday at the end of APC stakeholders’ meeting in Kano, declared that the ruling party “is willing to absorb all members of the opposition parties back APC.”

According to investigation, he may have finally succumbed to President Bola Tinubu’s overture to reconcile political differences with Kwankwaso.
Ganduje said APC “is working hard to ensure Kano remains a one-party state, with largest and formidable members to determine the next political dimension in the state.”

Earlier, Deputy Senate President, Jibril Barau, and former House of Representatives Leader, Alhassan Doguwa, confirmed Tinubu’s resolve to reconcile with the opposition parties in Kano. Efforts to get Governor Yusuf’s reaction were futile, as his spokesman, Sanusi Bature, did not pick calls or react to messages sent to him.
