The debut edition of the Association of Bikers and Drifters’ event in the North West, tagged Gombe Grand Converge, begins today and the next five days promises to be the biggest gathering of horses and metals in one space in the country.
With the arrival of bikers from West Africa and across the world to Gombe, the event is aimed at introducing the Horse Durbar and Superbike Parade to Nigeria and West Africa and it promises to be filled with lots of entertainment and sports lovers in the same arena.
The event received the blessings, support and full participation of the Emir of Gombe, Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, who was last year appointed the grand patron of the Super Bikes Club Associations of Nigeria (SCAN) by its president, Gomes Adebowale,
Activities lined up for the five-day event, which kicks off today, will include the arrival of bikers and stunts, aerobics, indoor games, motorsports, music performance, fireworks, library commissioning, tree planting and courtesy visit to the Emir’s palace.
Already, Nigeria’s leading energy drink, Fearless, will thrill participants as the official sponsor of the event. According to the firm, the event, under its ‘Embrace the Thrill’ slogan, is synonymous with the sponsorship of exciting sports that encourages consumers to step out of their comfort zone, push their limits, be audacious and embrace the electrifying sensation that the brand provides.
