Gombe APC expels Danjuma Goje

Muhammad Danjuma Goje

Gombe State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has expelled Sen. Danjuma Goje (Gombe Central) for anti-party activities. Announcing the suspension to newsmen, yesterday, APC Chairman in Kashere Ward, Tanimu Abdullahi, alleged that the senator committed 10 offences, including failure to grace the flag-off of APC’s governorship campaign and general anti-party activities.

According to the APC leadership, it is shameful that the former governor could not win his ward for the party at the recent governorship and presidential polls.

Abdullahi said the senator’s popularity could have given the party victory, if only he had considered and meant well for APC during the elections.

“For this, we, the APC executives at Kashere Ward, do not see any need to keep him in the party. He is hereby expelled for anti-party activities,” he said.

The expulsion notice was, reportedly, signed by 31 executive members, including four state officials. For almost a month now, Goje has been having running battle with his party and some members across the senatorial zone for allegedly working against the party and sponsoring a governorship candidate from the opposition for the March 18, 2023 polls.
