One of such artists who exhibits this by infusing his unique personal experiences in his music is none other than Grand Lono, a Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter who is set to unleash his latest EP in April 2024.
Francis Odion Abumere, known professionally as Grand Lono is Afrobeat music genre lover and creator. Inspired by support from his family and friends, He started singing in 2013 and in 2022, he decided to make music production his career fully having produced few up-and-coming artists, and since it was what he loved doing best.
As a young and independent artist, Grand Lono has faced a few challenges in his career, he has sometimes had to work hard to afford fees to pay for studio sessions or to afford mobility to show up at festivals, and carnivals to perform. In spite of this, he doggedly pursues his passion and boldly ventures into the dynamic landscape of music.
Thus, his goal as a musician is to make sure that each note he composes, and each lyric his pen weaves into existence, serves as a testament to his ‘unwavering commitment’ to his authenticity and creativity. Through his music, Grand Lono aims to not only entertain but to forge deeps connections with his audience. He makes a point to craft his music in a way that is unconventional but still resonates deeply with his listeners.
For this purpose, Grand Lono worked in collaboration with esteemed beatmakers and producers such as Suplia Beatz, Z3na, BrizyBeatz, and Kelvin Drayz in the creation of his new musical masterpiece.
Each producer’s diverse backgrounds and styles infuses each song in the EP with a form of unique creativity that ensures an unforgettable listening experience for audiences across the globe.
