Beyond Usual Care Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) has assisted over 100 kids of Ado -Ajah Community with free de-worming treatment as a part of assistance to parents and families through adequate health care.

The gesture was a platform to inspire and transform the lives of the most vulnerable and underprivileged people in the society. The free de-worming exercise was organized by Beyond Usual Care in collaboration with Heritage Assembly Church and Look Media Nigeria for school aged children.

The event, which witnessed large turnout of kids and parents, took place from 11am-4pm. Tagged “De-worming for Kids,” it was the second edition for children between ages of 5-13 at Ado Primary school complex Ajah Lagos.

Ms Majiri Oniko, the founder, Beyond Unusual Care foundation, said the foundation started operations in January 2014 and has since launched several programs geared towards the transformation of lives and society.

Free Deworming Exercises for school-aged children, she said, is targeted at those living in low-income urban areas without access to potable water. “We have so far dewormed over 1,500 children. We have also provided financial support to indigent people with severe health conditions,” she said.
