Group tasks stakeholders on education, mobilisation of Kogi people for census

A group, De-Greater Height front (De-GHF), has called on political leaders, appointees, traditional rulers, youths, women associations and other clubs in Ebiraland, Kogo Central Senatorial District, to educate and mobilise the people for the May 3, 2023 population and housing census.

Its president, Alhaji Ibrahim Isa Amoka, who made the appeal during the club’s public lecture at Okene, noted that previous headcounts produced inaccurate figures due to scanty education of the people on importance of the exercise, stating: “With proper education and enlightenment, Ebiraland will have her best census figure come May 2023.”

The lecture, titled “2023 Census, Ebiraland Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” was delivered by Provost of National Defence College, Abuja, Prof. Ahmed Abere, while the second paper entitled, “The Role of ICT in Census Making,” was presented by SA on ICT to Kogi State Government, Ismaila Raji Umar.
