Group urges massive turnout for Saturday’s polls

Ahead of this Saturday’s governorship and states Assembly polls, President-General of Agbekoya Reformed Society of Nigeria, Aare Kunle Oshodi has charged Nigerians to endeavour and replicate the exemplary act displayed during the March 28 Presidential and National Assembly election.

In a congratulatory message to Nigerians and the President-elect, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, Oshodi said the March 28 outing has undoubtedly placed the country in her rightful place among the comity of nations, thus the need for replication.

He urged all politicians to abide by the rules of the game and accept whatever the outcome of the exercise presents.

He said, “We are pleading with all Nigerians especially members of the Agbekoya Reformed Society and Yorubas in general to replicate the March 28 elections so as to have another free, fair, credible, transparent and peaceful elections throughout the country. There is also need for everyone to be at alert so as to detect any or all those who may be planning to cause friction or thwart the April 11 polls.”

Agbekoya Reformed Society according to Oshodi, is a foremost Pan-Yoruba socio-economy and cultural organisation advancing the cause and interest of the Yoruba nation.
