Renowned culinary expert, Hilda Baci celebrated International Women’s Day with the female students of Wellspring College, Lagos on the 8th of March 2024.
The celebration was hallmarked by various inspiring, enlightening and entertaining activities including a culinary demonstration by Hilda Baci, a cooking competition among selected students and the presentation of gifts, prizes and refreshments to both students and staff of the school.
Hilda Baci, demonstrating her commitment to fostering education and empowerment, awarded monetary gifts totalling seven hundred thousand naira among participating students and hosts, who were also students of Wellspring College.
In her keynote speech titled “Self-realisation, finding yourself as a girl and woman. “ Hilda Baci motivated and encouraged the students saying
“ finding your passion is important at this stage of your lives, you must learn to apply your passion and youthful energy to what you are doing and be hardworking. The world can’t wait to marvel at your magic and my story should be an inspiration that you can do whatever you set your mind to do”.
The school principal Mr Innocent Agofure while receiving Hilda Baci and her team, appreciated her efforts and dedication to supporting the girl child

The occasion was further elevated through the support of Hilda Baci’s brand partners such as , Seven up bottling company, who provide water Aquafina and their soda brands, Gino, who awarded a cash prize of five hundred thousand naira to the best female teacher voted by the students and various Gino household products such as Gino tomato paste, and Gino party jollof tomato seasoning mix gifted to the school staff. The event received additional sponsorship from Viva detergent, providing the school and students with various home cleaning products such as Viva dishwashing liquid and detergent. Eggcorn Digital, another valued sponsor, offered two lucky students interested in the creative industry the opportunity to embark on free internships at Eggcorn Digital agency.
