Winner of the 1993 presidential election, the late MKO Abiola, only had 55 children, out of the 105 children he fathered, according to his son, Abdul MKO Abiola.
Abdul revealed this during an interview session on Seun Okinbaloye’s ‘Mic On’ podcast on YouTube.
He added that his father had 40 wives and 103 children before DNA confirmation slashed that number by almost half.
“The Abiola family we are not that much, we are only 55 because people were thinking we are much” According to the will, Abdul admitted his late father had 40 wives but outside of the will he had forty-something he said.

“When my father was alive he was paying for 103 children to go to school, but not all of them were his, after the blood test, we were reduced to 55 which is a magical number if you consider a country of 250 million people, you will think my father was enjoying himself, apparently he wasn’t with only 55 children”
He also talked about how he managed to bring all legitimate children together after the death of his father, but all plans failed to materialise due to their differences.
“My father stated in his will that after they gave his wives the money, everything else should be sold and equally shared among the children. I don’t believe my father wanted to sell them. He wanted us to come together as one unit. Still, we couldn’t achieve that for some reason, especially with the first family, where Kola Abiola is the first son.
