I did something to attract God’s attention

Brother Christopher testifying the goodness of God upon his life after receiving his healing at the church’s headquarters of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries at Ijesha, Lagos…recently.

Psalm126v1-2 says: “When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream, then was our mouth filled with laughter and our tongue with singing…”

The above scripture aptly captures the great hand of God in my family, and this goes to prove the statement of our General Overseer, that our God is closer to us than we think and He does what no man can do.

My name is Sister Helen Chukwuka, I am from Nnewi and worship at Uruagu 2, Branch of the Lord’s Chosen. We joined this great movement in August 2004 and I glorify the Lord for counting us worthy to be chosen.

Truly, something is happening here. My daughter got married and gave birth to three girls and because she has no boy among her children, her marriage has had no peace. It has been trouble upon trouble and I was worried. So, each time our General Overseer prays for women to have their children, I always claim the blessing of a male child for my daughter. This has been happening for four years now. When it seemed that the request was delayed, I asked, what would I do to attract the attention of God in my daughter’s marriage? I looked round our altar in Uruagu Nnewi and I did not see a particular type of rail that is at the headquarters, so, I called our engineer and asked him what it would cost to fix that particular rail and he told me. I paid him and he fixed it. I told him never to tell anybody except him, God and I; that was how I decorated the altar. This happened on a fateful Saturday and when people came to service the next day being Sunday, the altar was glittering and they were all asking who did it. I kept quiet, but went to God in prayers with my request. I called my daughter and told her what I did on her behalf for God to visit her. I told her that she will surely give birth to a baby boy. A month after this, she became pregnant while I continued in my prayers and even made a vow of #50,000 to God, if he gives my daughter a male child. After nine months, my daughter gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. Praiseeeee, the Lord! Our God is awesome.

It is because of my daughter’s delivery that I have come to Lagos for ‘Omugwo’ (baby sitting). Now there is absolute peace in my daughter’s home. This is the doing of the Lord and it is marvelous in our eyes.

Note since we entered Chosen in 2004, my condition has changed for good. God has opened doors for my children and blessed me with two cars. Praise the Lord! Please rejoice with me because God has done a lot of good things to me. May the name of the Lord be glorified in Jesus’ name.
